    Changes to Minn. laws that may impact you: Ensure your business is in compliance by Jan. 1, 2024

    As you may know – throughout this past year, the Minnesota Legislature passed many business compliance and regulatory laws that will impact the way you run your businesses.     North Dakota Legislative Assembly to reconvene following Supreme Court ruling

    North Dakota’s Legislative Assembly will convene next week, October 23 to October 27, to address the recent ruling of the North Dakota Supreme Court. The State’s Highest Court ruled that Senate Bill 2015, Office of Management and Budget, violated the State's constitution, voiding the entire piece of legislation passed during the 68th Legislative Session, which adjourned on April 30, 2023.     2023 Minnesota Legislative Session Recap

    Late in the evening on Monday, May 22, 2023, the 93rd Minnesota Legislature adjourned for the year, after finalizing key pieces of legislation. Throughout the past five months, the Minnesota Legislature met for 77 legislative days and adjourned before the Constitutional Deadline of midnight on May 22.     The Chamber and MN Businesses Opposing Senate File 2 (SF2)

    Currently, Senate File 2 (SF2) is moving through the Minnesota State Senate and is to be heard in the Senate Health and Services Committee tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. We are asking Senator Rob Kupec of District 4, who is a member of this committee, to oppose this bill, in an effort to keep payroll taxes low and to protect small and medium-sized businesses from burdensome mandates.
